We started the project by talking to the criminal justice partners working with LCJP about their aspirations for the website and experience of what was needed, we then did some background research and came up with some proposals and design ideas. These were then field tested by young people in London, who were asked for their feedback and comments on what sort of information they felt they needed. This feedback was then integrated into the project and suggestions for improvements were implemented.
Ecru took time to understand the target audience and left no stone unturned in delivering an excellent website which appeals to young people in its design.
We wanted the site to be relevant to all young people, their friends and families and with this in mind we looked at the criminal justice system primarily from the point of view of victims and witnesses but also from the point of view of people accused of crime. The emphasis of information was on empowerment, respecting the target audience and enabling them to access information and have some control over their environment.
The content was written by our inhouse content team who specialise in easy to read inspirational text that gets the message across.
